So from the feedback at the crit i decided to take this route further seeing how it would look applied to a range of products etc.
I decided on simplifying the colour mode taking it from the original claret,blue and yellow to just claret with black and white. I feel this gave off a less cluttered look and created a more sophisticated look without being too high brow that it puts people off.
I shall now take this forward by implementing the other chosen logo and creating a similar range to compare the idea or i might take a step back and bring in a another mark as i am not convinced by this one.
The logo can look messy and maybe has too much going on in it.
